November is For

October is for the holidays; for travel, and family, and foliage. November is for hunkering down and getting to work.

So what am I working on?

Well, over the last few months I have learned more about the history of medical devices than I have ever wanted to know. And let me tell you, it’s a pretty gnarly history. Learning about the paucity of care people were afforded in generations past has made me more grateful for modern medicine than ever. Essentially anti-biotics and vaccinations are the bomb, but so are things like full anesthesia, ultrasounds, and a thousand other devices and methods people tend not to give much consideration to.

I’ve also learned a bit about how music can help with motion-sickness, bite-resistant wetsuits keeping surfers, divers, and also sharks, safe, and how AI can help predict wildfires.

So on those cheerful notes, hunker down, hope for rain, and have some tea.
